As we work towards improving our accessibility offerings, we wish to provide information to guide you for your personal accessibility needs.

Please be aware the Abbeystowe site is a grassed surface used as a private field throughout the year, and despite our efforts it will always have some limitations.

We are committed to building upon our site infrastructure but please be aware this can take time and we appreciate your understanding.

Abbeystowe is not fully accessible, however we aim to offer you resources to better understand the limitations of the site.

Disability Parking

Dedicated disabled parking will be available on site at the St Michael’s school car park. Access is via The Abbey Place, heading towards the Museum.

As you near the Museum you will see signage diverting you to the left. It is approximately 250m from the Abbeystowe entrance – this pathway has the same ground surfaces as the rest of our Abbeystowe site and is a combination of grass and gravel.

As we have limited parking available, this parking area is exclusively for visitors with Disability Parking Permits. Please have your permit on display for access.
